A Jewish is going to teach me the Torah and suggested I listen to Rabbi Singer. I am seeing the great devotion to Jewish Scripture and the ongoing emphasis on One God. But the negative is witnessing the profound loss of the reality of Christ completely bypassing our actual experience in Him, the personal encounter with His Divine presence common among so many millions of people down through time and today. Christ is not about just text in the Word, it is about Personhood, new life, the directive to pick up one’s cross daily and follow Him enduring to the end, and recognizing Christ in our neighbor, not just in our kin, but any person, including a Jew. His presence is transforming. He likewise says the kingdom is most dear, difficult to enter. The battle is over our hearts, to be compassionate, to love. To have the universal perspective on the human condition and live it. There are countless many who experienced Him that they had no desire to marry or be of this world, living perfection solely for God. The monasteries have done great good for surrounding populations down through history. Salvation is for those who endure to the end.

At 44:14 - It occurs to me that Rabbi Singer and Alex are having two separate conversations. The Rabbi is asking that, if God can forgive all by Himself, what is Jesus needed for. Alex is talking about activating the second covenant, which Rabbi Singer has already explained isn't a New Testament or the like. At this point, they are speaking past each other.

Hi Rabbi, I love you and all of your work but I noticed on this rather old video, that you state that the Herod Temple base is to be the foundation for the third temple as described in Ezekiel. My question is that Herods Temple base is still much too small for the Temple described by Ezekiel that measures one square mile in dimensions (actually Mount Moriah could never accommodate such a construction). Do you still hold by this videos comments or have you looked at this scripture again recently?

Rabbi Tovia Singer used to be my favourite rabbi, and I agree with him on the multiple problems of Christian theology… I’m ex-Christian/ex-evangelical and was a Rabbi Singer fanatic. I loved his critique. But as time went on… I saw absolutely no criticism from Tovia of the most simple flaws in Islamic doctrine against Judaism, and it never got brought up (even though the 2 religions share similarities) Muslims regard the Torah as corrupted, but the Christians regard its authenticity despite using it for their own “it leads to Jesus” agenda. So Christians at the very least acknowledge it (even though with the agenda), and Muslims openly say it’s corrupt. Tovia never talks about this. There is the situation about Louisiana and demanding the 10 commandments…. Christians are defending the Torah here, but Rabbi Singer won’t bring that up either 😂.
